Rock Hill, SC & Charlotte, NC — 04/01/2026 — Vision Elite Royalty proudly announces a transformative new era with the official launch of its rebranded institutions: Vision Elite Royalty School of Dance (VERSOD) and Vision Elite Royalty Dance Theatre, the organization’s newly structured professional touring company. Under the artistic leadership of Jane Johnson, Artistic Director, and Mikayla Johnson, Assistant Artistic Director, this relaunch marks a bold step forward in excellence, technique, artistry, and purpose.
This comprehensive rebrand introduces a new identity, expanded programming, elevated training standards, and a renewed commitment to developing dancers who are technically strong, artistically powerful, and spiritually grounded.
A New Identity. A New Standard. A New Legacy.
Vision Elite Royalty School of Dance (VERSOD) is now an audition-based, technique-focused, pre-professional training institution designed for dancers who are serious about their growth and committed to excellence. With only 50 dancers accepted per year, VERSOD offers an elite, intimate, and intentional environment where students receive individualized attention and professional-level preparation.
“This new chapter is about excellence, purpose, and opportunity,” said Jane Johnson, Artistic Director. “We are building a God-centered foundation where dancers can grow, be challenged, and become the artists they were created to be. VERSOD is for the dancer who is serious, committed, and ready to rise.”
Introducing the HBCU Dance Prep Program
As part of its new structure, VERSOD is launching a dedicated HBCU Dance Prep Program — a specialized track for dancers who aspire to join HBCU dance lines, auxiliaries, and collegiate performance teams.
The program includes:
HBCU-style technique and conditioning
Audition preparation
Performance training
Cultural education
Mentorship from dancers with HBCU experience
VERSOD is among the few institutions in the Carolinas offering a structured pathway for dancers pursuing HBCU excellence.
Vision Elite Royalty Dance Theatre: The Professional Touring Company
Alongside the school relaunch, Vision Elite Royalty also introduces Vision Elite Royalty Dance Theatre, the organization’s newly structured professional touring company.
The company will feature:
Original repertory
Regional and national touring
Community engagement performances
Cultural storytelling
A trainee company and regional touring pods
The touring company is currently preparing for a mini summer tour and expanding its artistic reach through performance partnerships and community-centered programming.
“Our touring company is where artistry meets purpose,” said Johnson. “We are telling stories that matter, uplifting our community, and creating opportunities for dancers to perform on real stages with real impact.”
Strengthened Leadership for a New Era
As part of this next chapter, Mikayla Johnson has been appointed Assistant Artistic Director, serving as the organization’s second-in-command. Working closely with Jane Johnson, she will help oversee artistic development, training standards, student mentorship, and the creative growth of both VERSOD and Vision Elite Royalty Dance Theatre.
A Technique-Focused, Purpose-Driven Training Model
VERSOD’s reimagined structure emphasizes:
Strong technical foundations
Versatility across dance genres
Professional discipline
Faith-centered values
College and career readiness
Individualized coaching
Performance excellence
This is not recreational dance — this is professional preparation.
Rebranding, Restructuring, and Rebuilding with Intention
The organization’s rebrand includes:
A new school name: Vision Elite Royalty School of Dance (VERSOD)
